Vulcan Logic Manchesters
Vulcan Logic Manchesters is a small, intentionally limited breeding program with carefully planned litters. My goal is to improve the Manchester Terrier breed while thoughtfully placing exceptional dogs in lifelong homes.

This is a one-woman operation, directly mentored by Sabra Peterson of Raintree Manchester Terriers, from whom I purchased my foundation bitch, Spock, in 2023. I am an active member of the American Manchester Terrier Club (AMTC) and also built the AMTC website. Rather than duplicating that information here, I encourage you to visit the parent club to learn more about the breed.

How I Breed, Raise, and Place Puppies
I never set out to become a breeder, I quickly became passionate about helping preserve the breed thanks to the community around it. I am committed to ethical breeding and to standing behind every dog I produce for its entire lifetime.
All dogs in my program are fully health tested and proven in conformation. Puppies are raised in my Manhattan apartment, in my own hands, following the Puppy Culture protocol and with guidance from a trusted community of breeders representing more than 60 years of combined experience.

From the moment puppies are born, I evaluate them continuously as individuals—not just as a litter. Puppies are observed weekly as their personalities, drives, and structures begin to emerge. These observations are shared and discussed with experienced peers to ensure that placement decisions are thoughtful, honest, and grounded in experience rather than preference.

Placement is based on finding the right match for each puppy. Temperament, structure, drive, resilience, and environmental fit all play a role, as do the goals, experience, and lifestyle of each approved home. Puppies are assessed using the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test and evaluated for placement in show, sport, and companion homes. Most litters include puppies well suited to each of these paths.
My highest priority is keeping puppies in the same home from the day they go home through their last breath. That goal guides every placement decision I make.
Placement Philosophy & Timing
Because placement is determined as puppies develop, assignments are not made immediately. Puppies are matched only when there is enough information to confidently support a lifelong fit.

Deposits are accepted only after a puppy has been assigned to you. Final payment is due when pickup is scheduled, typically between 10 and 12 weeks of age.
What Happens Next
To get started, please review the links below to confirm that the Manchester Terrier is the right breed for you and that you understand the protocols I use to raise my puppies. When you’re ready, submit the form on the Get Started page.

We’ll have a brief conversation about your goals, experience, and expectations. If it feels like a good fit, you’ll be invited to complete a formal application. You may also be asked to speak by phone with me or a trusted peer. Approved applicants are placed on a waitlist for future litters.

All approved homes are notified when a litter is on the ground, but placement is never guaranteed and is determined as puppies develop.
If I Don’t Have a Match for You
Because I produce no more than one litter per year, I may not always have a suitable puppy for every approved home. If that happens, I am happy to connect you with other Manchester Terrier breeders I trust.

Even if you don’t bring home a puppy from me, I will do my best to help the right homes find the right Manchester.
